At Herse Boutique, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not happy with your order, we offer a straightforward return and exchange process. This policy complies with consumer protection laws in the United States, European Union, and other applicable jurisdictions.

1. Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, items must meet the following conditions:

  • Returned within 30 days of delivery date
  • Unworn, unwashed, and unaltered
  • In original condition with all tags attached
  • In original packaging (including dust bags, boxes, etc.)
  • Free from perfume, deodorant, makeup, or other stains

Items that show signs of wear, washing, alteration, or damage may be rejected or returned to you.

2. EU Consumer Rights

EU Right of Withdrawal: If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason.

To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (e.g., email to [email protected]). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not required.

You must return the items within 14 days of notifying us. We will refund all payments, including the original delivery cost, within 14 days of receiving the returned items.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Gift cards and store credit
  • Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable"
  • Personalized or customized items
  • Intimate apparel and swimwear (for hygiene reasons)
  • Items damaged through misuse, neglect, or normal wear
  • Items purchased from unauthorized resellers

4. How to Initiate a Return

Request a Return

Email us at [email protected] with your order number, the items you wish to return, and the reason for return. You can also initiate a return through your account if you have one.

Receive Return Authorization

Within 1-2 business days, we will send you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions. Please wait for this confirmation before shipping your return.

Pack Your Return

Carefully repack the items in their original packaging. Include the RMA number on the outside of the package or on a packing slip inside. We recommend using a trackable shipping service.

Ship Your Return

Ship the package to the address provided in your return authorization. Keep your tracking number and proof of postage until your refund is processed.

5. Return Shipping Costs

Standard Returns

For standard returns (change of mind, sizing issues, etc.), return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot be responsible for lost packages.

Defective or Incorrect Items

If you received a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, we will cover the return shipping cost. Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the issue.

EU Consumers

For EU consumers exercising their 14-day right of withdrawal, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the items unless the items are defective or incorrect.

6. Refund Processing

Inspection and Approval

Once we receive your return, we will inspect the items within 3 business days. You will receive an email notification confirming whether your return has been approved or rejected.

Refund Timeline

  • Approved returns are processed within 5-10 business days
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Credit card refunds may take an additional 5-7 days to appear on your statement
  • PayPal refunds are typically processed within 24-48 hours

Refund Amount

Refunds will be issued for the purchase price of the returned items. Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the entire order is returned or items were defective/incorrect. Any applied discounts will be adjusted proportionally.

7. Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct exchanges. To receive a different size or color:

  1. Return your original item for a refund following the process above
  2. Place a new order for the desired item

This ensures you receive your new item as quickly as possible without waiting for the return to be processed.

8. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. Include:

  • Your order number
  • Description of the damage or defect
  • Clear photographs showing the issue

We will arrange a prepaid return label or replacement at no additional cost to you.

9. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven't received your refund within the expected timeframe:

  1. Check your bank account or credit card statement again
  2. Contact your credit card company (it may take time to post)
  3. Contact your bank (there is often processing time before a refund is posted)
  4. If you've done all of this and still have not received your refund, contact us
